Fatima Group is hiring for Legal Counsel (Contract) in Corporate Affairs & Legal Department at Head Office Lahore. The ideal candidate should have the following:
Job Summary:
This position provides advanced level legal support to the Groups various businesses and divisions therein including but not limited to finance, internal audit, admin, energy, sugar, steel, ancillary business and/or other businesses
The position is expected to be well conversant with the relevant jurisdictions and the external counsels/firms, (including relevant documentations), strategic negotiations.
Experience in various international disputes resolution regimes is a value addition.
Qualification: Bar-at-Law / Solicitor / Master of Laws
Experience: 5 to 6 years of work experience in corporate advisory, contract and dispute management and external counsel management and supervision.
Location: Lahore
Key Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing overall legal support to the Corporate and Legal team.
This includes drafting, negotiation, execution and management of contracts and other legal documents, engagement, supervision and management of external counsels, and liaising with other departments of the company with the objective of identifying/conveying, assessing and managing or mitigating potential risks, eliminating/minimizing legal or financial exposure and optimizing costs and resources within the prescribed timelines, guidelines and approved budget.
This position also provides Group wide legal support, including corporate advisory, contract and dispute management, risk assessment and engagement and management of external counsel.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
This position is expected to be well versed with local or where needed; foreign regimes, of corporate transactions including regulatory systems etc.
Knowledge and experience of having dealt with jurisdictions including Pakistan and other major jurisdictions, is preferred.
Additional background of resolution of foreign disputes is desirable.
Skill set for the position is desired to have excellent communization, advanced drafting, reviewing and advisory, effective and critical analytical skills with focus on strategic negotiations and alignments with internal and external stakeholders and Board of Directors
