State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for young, talented and energetic candidates for the following contractual positions in the Information Systems Department, based at Karachi:

Position: QA Analyst

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

• Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
• Consult with development team to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system.
• Define test methods and create test plans for software projects to determine if the software will perform accurately and reliably according to documented requirements as well as established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions.
• Recommend design improvements or corrections to software developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform Black Box and White Box testing, and conduct compatibility tests.
• Execute test plans and create bug reports to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
• Conduct performance testing (including load and stress testing).

 Eligibility Criteria:

Education

Masters or Bachelor's Degree (16 years) of education) in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering from HEC recognized institutions or from a reputable foreign university.

Age: Maximum 30 years, as of the date of submission of application (as per CNIC).

Experience:

Minimum 03 years of working experience in IT including 02 years’ experience in software quality assurance activities with specific focus on:

1. Automated testing with tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Appium, etc.
2. Good understanding of Agile development methodologies, including SCRUM
3. Experience in API testing with tools such as POSTMAN
4. Hands-on experience of Database testing using SQL.
5. Experience with load testing preferably using JMeter or similar tools
6. Applicants with prior experience of the following will be preferred:

• Oracle RDBMS and/or Temenos T24
• OLTP, OLAP Data Warehousing
• Linux Shell and Python scripting

Position: Software Developer

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:

• Engage in all project phases during the full software development cycle, including design, coding, testing, post-install configuration and performance tuning, and post-install issue resolution.
• Learn business processes and data structures to design process automation, ETL workloads, and reporting solutions to support the business.
• Responsible for the collection and analysis of business requirements and the translation of these requirements into a comprehensive and cohesive solution proposal.
• Design, develop and implement the process automation and ETL workloads for new applications.
• Develop MIS including fixed reports for publication and dynamic MIS for analytical end-users in the form of multi-dimensional cubes.
• Coordinate with DBA team for the deployment of new applications into live production environment.
• Analyze, discuss and remediate the vulnerabilities identified by IT Security Team.

 Eligibility Criteria:

Education

Masters or Bachelor's Degree (16 years) of education) in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering from HEC recognized institutions or from a reputable foreign university.

Age:

Experience:

Minimum 03 years of working experience in IT including 02 years’ experience in software development with specific focus on:

1. Advanced working experience with SQL, PL/SQL along with SQL troubleshooting skills working with large databases
2. Advanced experience designing, developing and delivering commercial grade modern & elegant web applications using a combination of Oracle APEX and JavaScript.
3. Strong database design, architecture and data modelling experience
4. Applicants with prior experience of the following will be preferred:

• Implementation,  upgrade, and post implementation support of Core Banking Solutions such as Temenos T24
• Customization and integration with Oracle EBS Financials, Supply Chain and HR modules
• Data warehousing with ETL/ELT jobs development
• Linux Shell and Python scripting
• SWIFT/RTGS systems
